Guide to Care for Your Jewellery
Our Jewellery is handcrafted with precious metals and gemstones. To maintain their shine and keep them in perfect condition, follow this guide on how to care for your pieces.

(A) GENERAL RULES OF JEWELLERY CARE

-
Apply any cosmetics and perfume before putting on your jewellery. Skin and hair products can be corrosive and tarnish your jewellery.
-
Remove your jewellery before showering or washing hands.
-
Do not enter the pools or swim in the sea with your jewellery on. Chemicals found in swimming pools like salt, choline, and sulphur will cause extreme tarnishing.
-
Perspiration can cause tarnishing of your jewellery so remember to take off your jewellery before exercising or engaging in any form of physical activities and to prevent your delicate jewellery from scratches or deformation.
-
We recommend cleaning your jewellery after every use and storing them in the original box or packaging. A guide on how to clean your jewellery can be found in section (B).
-
Store jewellery separately to prevent them from tangling or scratching against each other.
-
Keeping jewellery in a zip lock bag is also an affordable but excellent way to prevent your jewellery from tarnishing causes by exposing to the air and environment.
-
Store your jewellery in cool and dry place. Avoid direct sunlight.
-
We do not recommend sleeping in your jewellery as some piece is delicate and sleeping in it can cause it to deform.

(B) CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS

Cleaning your jewellery after each use is recommended. For everyday cleaning, rub your jewellery with a dry lint-free cloth to remove any dirt or oil that build-up on your jewellery before storing them.
Should your jewellery need a deeper cleaning, follow these steps below:
-
Prepare a bowl of warm water with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid.
-
Soak your jewellery in the bowl and gently rub them with your fingers or with a soft toothbrush.
-
Rinse your jewellery thoroughly with warm water.
-
Dry them with a lint-free cloth.
-
Before storing, let your jewellery lie flat on a soft cloth to let them dry completely. Make sure they dry completely as moisture can speed up the tarnishing process.

(C) TAKING CARE OF EACH MATERIAL
925 STERLING SILVER
Sterling silver is precious metal. It tarnishes overtime, which is a natural process of the material. When exposed to salt air or contacted with cosmetics, perfume, sulphur and chlorine, the oxidisation will occur. Therefore, it requires cleaning from time to time. Follow the general rules of jewellery care (A) and cleaning instruction (B) to care for your silver pieces. With proper care, your silver will stay beautiful at any distance of time.
To brighten up your silver pieces, we recommend using silver-specific polishing cloth. However, this method is not recommended if the silver piece has an enamel part as it may damage the enamel.
Tips: Regular wear of sterling silver jewellery can also help prevent tarnishing.
ENAMEL
Wear your enamel piece with care. Enamel in jewellery can crack, chip, or break if bent, dropped or hit against hard surfaces.
Please keep enamel away from extreme temperature as it can melt or crack.
Avoid contact with alcohol based products and dyes, such as hand sanitisers, hair sprays, perfumes, cosmetics and lotions.
Avoid contact with acetone, such as nail polish remover.
Do not wipe enamel piece with jewellery polishing cloth to retain its lustre.
Do not put enamel piece into ultrasonic cleaner or clean with standard chemical jewellery cleaning products. Instead, gently wash enamel piece with water and mild soap. Wipe with lint free cloth and let dry, before storing in a clean and dry place.
GEMSTONES & PEARLS
Do not expose gemstones to sources of intense heat since temperature can effect them.
Gemstones can be cleaned by washing them in lukewarm water with a few drops of mild dishwashing liquid. Gently rub them with your finger or a soft brush then wipe them with soft cloth and let them dry on a clean towel.
Pearls, on the other hand, are more delicate. Do not use soap. Gently wipe them with soft damp cloth and let them dry on a clean towel.
Never wash pearls with an ultrasonic cleaner.
GLASS
We use mineral crystal, the same type and quality with watch crystal, for our jewellery pieces.
For cleaning, follow the cleaning instruction (B). Please handle with great care and avoid storing your piece with hard objects as it may shatter or scratch the glass.
